Gordon D. Gee
Senior Counsel
Gordon Gee went to Harvard Law School in the late 1960s during a turbulent time in our country’s history with the goal of learning how to help people resolve problems. After law school, he was a law clerk for Federal District Court Judge John W. Oliver. Thereafter, he went into private practice and in 1990, his Kansas City law firm—Rich, Granoff, Levy & Gee—merged with Burrell, Seigfreid & Bingham to become Seigfreid, Bingham, Levy, Selzer & Gee, P.C. While the name has been simplified to reflect the firm’s modern nature, Gordon’s over 40 year business litigation practice is still active and well.
Well-known for his work in litigation.
Gordon has handled complex civil litigation for clients in federal and state court arbitrations. He has also represented clients in connection with regulatory investigations. Gordon enables clients to successfully resolve disputes in a professional, cost-effective manner and has been repeatedly recognized by his peers for his excellence in business litigation and securities arbitration.
A dedication to personal service.
Gordon cares about his clients and wants to help them through the litigation process with as little stress and interruption in their normal lives as possible. Clients appreciate his responsiveness and excellent communication skills where he prides himself on putting himself in their shoes, keeping them apprised of developments, and speaking plain English. He also enjoys educating clients to ensure they know what to expect at each stage of the litigation process from the moment the dispute arises, throughout settlement negotiations, mediation, and, when necessary, arbitration hearings, jury and non-jury trials, and appeals. When he’s not practicing law, Gordon loves spending time with his wife, three grown children, and grandchildren; and doing volunteer work with his church and numerous other charitable and civic organizations. He also enjoys staying active by playing basketball and playing on Seigfreid Bingham’s softball team.
